Please grind the wheel on a practice knife because the CBN are very aggressive at first.
This is done automatically when the excess grains are removed from the coating.

The use of CBN wheels is particularly recommended when grinding metals.
In conjunction with our grinding angle software, you can achieve razor-sharp cutting edges.
Our wheels have slightly rounded edges, so even in conjunction with our Pin Pivot, grinding of concave knife shapes is possible without further ado.
The CBN-Wheels can be operated in normal water without the addition of fluids.
Each wheel is individually checked for perfect condition before delivery.
No more dressing of whetstones.
The diameter does not change.
The grain size becomes somewhat finer over the years, but remains highly efficient.
As a rule of thumb, a 400 grit wheel will become a 600 grit wheel over time.

Shipping on this was great, but that is not a product. I did about 2 dozen knives grinding with water and the wheel started to delam on me. I cannot leave a good review for this product when using with water. as it has no longevity and has no potential for being used in a production environment. I really wanted this to work for me as I really don’t want to have to change the grit of stones and I don’t want to have to worry about wearing out stones. I very much wanted to use this with water, but as that won’t work, maybe some time in the future I might consider running it try. although it is a lot harder to tell where you are grinding.

Got it right time, had to put a new bevel on ESEE 5. It was a really easy job with 400Grit. Wheel has a very good material removal rate, the best part of this type of wheels, that when you switch to Tormek diamond extra fine, you do not have to measure angle again. Will buy another wheel shortly.
