Wir haben die Breite des Rades an die Schleifräder angepasst.
Somit haben wir ca. 20% mehr Auflagefläche.
Dadurch wird die Führung des Messers deutlich erleichtert.
Auch wird die anzahl der Züge über das Rad veringert. Zeit sparen 🙂
Finally a leather of the same size as the grinding wheels. Das Rad ist gefertigt aus 2 MDF Platten (wasserfest verleimt) und hier wurde ein ca. 3mm dickes Leder mittels Kontaktkleber aufgebracht.
The attachment angle of the knife is therefore the same as that of the grinding wheels, which should ensure an optimal polishing result.
The dimensions are as close as possible to 250mm but can differ in the 1mm range due to the leather (natural product). Also, due to the leather, the structure is not always the same. However, only high quality leathers are used. As with Tormek, the rough side of the leather wheel is turned outwards. This ensures that the respective coating adheres well. With regular use, the leather will become smooth.
